One stretch open to all, two more behind a free account, and every rule posted at the depot.
Black Ice Mile is open to everyone: spin it on the home page or on its own page with free play coins. There is no name, email or password to give and nothing to tick.
Dogteam Portage and Freeze-Up Express wait behind a free account, and the logbook page has only four boxes: a nickname, an email address, a password and a tick confirming you are 19 or over. Burl leaves out any card field, address box or phone line, because nothing on this road is sold. The account earns its keep twice: your coins and progress are waiting at the depot when you return, and the games stay with adults. A single button on your account page strikes it out, with everything written beneath it.
Your tally opens at 100,000 free coins, with whatever Black Ice Mile paid you on the same device carried across. One balance, one level and one mission sheet ride along all three stretches. Coins are virtual: they cannot be bought, sold, withdrawn or exchanged for anything, and no win has real-world value.
From depot to far shore there are no in-app purchases and no payment page.
Each stretch sets out five reels over three rows. A win starts from the first reel on the left and travels right over neighbouring reels along fixed paylines. Your stake is divided equally among the lines; paytable values are multiples of the line bet, all except the scatter, which pays on the total stake. Only the top win on each line is paid.
| Kind of bonus feature | What it does to the grid | Which stretch has it |
|---|---|---|
| Tumbling reels | Paying symbols crack off the grid like slabs of lake ice, the ones above settle into the gaps and new ones drop in from the top. Each fresh win in the chain pays more: x1 on the spin itself, then x2, x3, and x5 for every tumble after that. | Black Ice Mile |
| Multiplier that climbs like a pressure ridge | Through the free spins the multiplier keeps building, the way a pressure ridge grows, and it never drops back while the round lasts. | Dogteam Portage |
| Postmark wilds that freeze for a respin | A paid spin that pays nothing but shows a wild freezes every wild where it stands, and the rest of the grid spins again, free. | Freeze-Up Express |
| Last-reel respin | If a paid spin pays nothing yet lands two scatters, Burl sends the fifth reel round once more, free, hoping for the third. | |
| Free spins at double freight rate | The plainest bonus on the road: three scatters wave you into free spins, and every win inside them pays double. |
Under every reel runs a fixed strip of symbols. Each spin, your browser’s random number generator picks an independent position on each strip, the same way no two test holes in the ice are drilled alike. Past spins never steer later ones, and nothing shifts with your balance or the hours you have spent on the road.
Burl had each world’s own code hammered with millions of spins to measure its return, hit frequency and feature frequency, and he chalked the results into its paytable. They cover coin play in these free games alone and say nothing about any real-money game.
Winter Road Lantern is for adults aged 19 or over. The coins stacked on Burl’s depot counter carry no monetary value, and not one of them can be bought, sold, withdrawn or exchanged. From the depot stove to the far-shore lantern there is no coin shop and no payment page, no prize of real-world value hangs from any lamp pole, and success here does not imply future success at real-money gambling.
